On 1 July 2016, the corporate services functions of the Federal Court, Family Court and Federal Circuit Court merged into a single administrative entity. This follows the passage of the Courts Administration Legislation Amendment Act 2016 earlier in 2016.
Corporate services include communications, finance, human resources, information technology, library, procurement and contract management, property, risk oversight and management and statistics.
Each court will have a separate budget allocation and maintain their distinct statutory identities.
From 1 July 2012, the Court assumed responsibility for administering the National Native Title Tribunal.
The Court issues a number of corporate publications in accordance with Commonwealth legislation, in compliance with Senate Orders and other government requirements.
Some of these publications may also be obtained in hard copy from the Court's registries.
