International Programs - Volunteer Opportunities

Opportunities for unpaid fundraising volunteers

The Federal Court is an international exemplar of judicial development and, as Australia's largest superior court, has dedicated significant resources over the years to collaborating with superior courts around the world. The Court's objective in this regard is to promote respect for the rule of law through the provision of judicial development assistance, particularly in the Asia and Pacific region.

The International Programs Unit manages the Court’s international relations portfolio and is currently seeking volunteers to be involved in its work at the Court’s Principal Registry in Sydney for a minimum of two days a week for a period of approximately three months. The volunteer program provides an opportunity to gain practical exposure to and experience in judicial development projects and to learn about the processes involved in implementing these projects within the professional environment of the Court. The volunteer roles are unpaid and applicants are expected to meet all their own costs.

This particular opportunity is open to people with practical knowledge and demonstrably successful experience in institutional fundraising.
