Information Session: THE FEDERAL COURT RULES 2011

Thursday, 7 July 2011, 5.00pm - 6.30pm

Practitioners are invited to attend a presentation to introduce participants to the Federal Court Rules 2011, which will come into effect on 1 August 2011. The session will be presented by Justice Lander, Convenor of the Rules Revision Committee.

Topics:

• The history and aim of the Rules Revision Project.
  
• Style and structure of new Rules.
  
• Substantive changes, including: - expert evidence - costs - genuine steps requirements

Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the presentation.
